Red satchel
I would like to present to you Red Satchel, an old-school looking backpack I made for myself using a pattern for the Kennedy Bag by Sew Sweetness.
For this bag, I have used raspberry red Washpapa (a cellulose-based material that is a vegan alternative to leather).
I didn't have buckles, as suggested in the pattern instructions, so I just used big d-rings to create the flap details.
Instead of the side strap connectors, I added one ring on the back as I wanted to carry it like a backpack.
You probably noticed that the straps are not adjustable, I made them to measure for myself so I didn't need to use sliders.
I also added bag feet to protect the bottom of the bag.
For the lining, I chose a cotton fabric printed with a Polish folk floral pattern. I think it complements the solid colour of the bag really well.
I nearly forgot to mention that I also added a top handle and I must admit I prefer this look better.
Stay safe everyone and see you soon!
