Oh My Deer!

  What better symbol for a vegan-friendly bag than the deer - the spirit animal of compassion and love.

Perhaps because it has been created in mid-winter, this shoulder bag is wrapped in a warm scarf of golden faux fur.

But tenderness is not a weakness and it is also tempered with strength at its base.

The centre piece is a deer panel on waterproof polyester, the deer in white and gold on a black background splashed with golden fireworks and white bushes and hearts.

Golden Washpapa with honeycomb pattern protects the base and there is matching golden hardware - handles and rings, feet, studs and zip.

Inside, the grey polyester lining has pockets piped in gold.

The lining, along with the deer panel and zip, comes from the New Sewing Dimension shop, while the faux fur is from my own back collection.

The deer represents longevity in far eastern symbolism and this bag is built to last.
