Faux with real snake bite
When is snakeskin not snakeskin? When is fur not fur? When it is faux.
A recent television investigation found that some faux fur in high
street stores was not faux at all and was in fact rabbit, raccoon, mink and
cat.
So I take great care...
My goal is to show that vegan fashion doesn't mean bland fashion. We can
still enjoy all the shiny, furry and sparkly things.
Modern technologies allow us to recreate and copy any pattern created by
nature, so we don't need to kill any living beings to spice up our wardrobes.
I source good quality fabrics and materials and, because I make even the smallest details, like pompoms, from scratch, I know that the fur I am using is faux, or the leather-looking fabric is not a real skin. So no nasty surprises here.
This handbag features a brown faux luxurious fur brim and
matching pompom, while the shiny fake snakeskin comes from Washpapa, the
vegan-friendly leather made of a paper/latex fusion.
It has two black handles with silver coloured fittings and a zip at the
top to keep your treasures/valuables/personal items safe.
Inside, the printed Rosenrips multi-colour cotton lining is from Ikea
and there are two handy pockets on each side, so no more digging to find a
mobile or keys.
When winter is coming, even bags have to wrap up warm.
And, because more is more, we have matching pompom earrings to make you
feel even more cosy this winter.
