The universe in a t-shirt
Some people say their partner is the centre of their universe. Well, my husband is now wearing mine.
We are presently basking in the summer sunshine of Crete. But, before we flew from Scotland, I decided he needed some new t-shirts for the occasion and set to work on making him some.
First up is this one made from the Mandalas fabric supplied by Polish company dresowka.pl
A mandala was originally a symbol in Hinduism and Buddhism to represent the universe and has become a generic term for any pattern representing the cosmos.
Swirls in an unusual combination of blue and earthy brown and mustard make this a bright and striking digital print.
The 92% cotton/8% elastan combination makes for an exceptionally smooth, silky and stretchy fabric that is ideal for t-shirts as it keeps its shape without ironing and is wonderfully breathable in the kind of hot temperatures experienced here in Crete.
I think it’s pretty cool in more ways than one.
