Red Tulip Bag
Inspired by the bucketful of tulips my husband
bought me for Easter, here’s my latest Washpapa bag.
There’s no need to order more from Amsterdam as
your April flowers begin to fade because this one will never wilt.
Washpapa mainly comes in earthy hues, so while
others painted eggs for Easter, I experimented with a few more colourful dyes -
a much more vegan-friendly celebratory pastime, I am sure you will agree.
The tulip appliqué of hand-washed Washpapa,
appropriately in tulip red and emerald green, is striking in full bloom amid
the black aged Washpapa base.
Opening the pretty tortoise-shell handles reveals a
rich, red gingham lined interior, with internal pockets, deep enough to house
A4 paper.
I hope you will agree that the result is
easterordinarily tulipmendous.
