Paper People Bag
The inspiration for
this bag comes from the hashtag used by the company that makes Washpapa, the
pleather material I have been using for my latest bags.
#ludziezpapieru
roughly translates as “paper people”, so I thought how appropriate it would be
to make a Washpapa bag design with a paper people chain as its theme.
Also appropriately
big enough to carry a folder of A4 paper, the outside is in a colour called
genua sahara (which resembles a brown paper bag), with the cut-out people made of the
wrong side of this material!
In keeping with the
theme, the handles are bamboo and the lining is a cotton fabric with a design
of trees.
You probably
already know that Washpapa is a combination of paper and latex that produces a
strong, cruelty-free alternative to leather, certified with Oeko-tex and Forest
Stewardship Council (SCS).
Now you can have an
ethical bag while reliving childhood memories of cutting out those paper
shapes.
