Arkitektur Bag
It’s been a while since my last blog post, but I
had to take time out for some DIY - ooer! However, I hope that the photo of our
hallway proves my creativity knows no bounds!
My chosen colour, woodland pearl, is very similar
to “kale”, one of Pantone’s shades of 2017 - not only appropriate for us vegans
but shows we can be trendy too.
From walls in forest colours, we move back to the
urban environment for my latest venture into making ethical fashion
accessories.
Want to be a city slicker, a man/woman about town?
Why not take the city with you with this large colourful orange, light blue,
black and white handbag.
It’s perfectly suited to storing A4-size notebooks
while also looking chic whether you are dining in an upmarket city centre eaterie
or the Ikea canteen.
The latter would be particularly appropriate
considering that’s where I found this distinctive heavyweight renewable cotton
cartoon cityscape, called Gitte.
Open it up and you will be greeted with summery
yellow lining with white polka dots, complete with pockets to keep your mobile
and other valuables handy.
To help keep it resistant from the rigours of a
cosmopolitan lifestyle, the bottom corners are reinforced with black Washpapa
and the base with metal bag feet.
Washpapa is the vegan-friendly pleather made of a
combination of paper and latex I have been using in my latest bags. The ethical
theme is enhanced by Ikea supporting the Better Cotton Initiative.
What else can I tell you about this bag? Oh yes -
it has black handles and foam between the outside and the lining to keep it
nice and firm.
I hope this unique bag has you buzzing like the
city life that inspired the design.
Bag is available here.
