A Lonely Little Petunia
As the world’s
eyes turn away from Brazil and displays of great sporting prowess, taking to
our podium is our own prize South American flower, Petunia.
With her long
lithe limbs and teeny twinkletoes, Petunia’s preferred form of athleticism is a
tango, bolero or lambada.
Of course, she
dresses the part and, as red petunias symbolise passion and love, red, white
and green hearts embellish her dress of forest flowers while crimson adorns
her hat and shoes.
There is,
though, one thing missing in her life and that is someone to care for her.
However, petunias are a symbol of not losing hope and she is sure she will find
someone soon.
Petunias are
also said to symbolise a desire to spend time with someone because you find
their company soothing and peaceful - and we are sure our Petunia would bring
you hours of calm and relaxation.
Cha cha cha.
