New Boots and Polenta

Here's some kinky boots I bought at Deichmann. Cheap and cheerful they may be, but this shop is great for sourcing non-leather shoes on the high street. Of course, I enhanced them with a bit of polka dot ribbon and a pair of soutache brooches I made myself. I hope you agree that they work as nice boot buckles!

Ryan Walker from the Vegan Edinburgh Glasgow (VEG) Facebook group has certainly made his mark since becoming a chef at Henderson's. The quality and presentation of the food, and the vegan options, have certainly improved. We would have said hello, but Ryan looked so busy as he dashed in and out of the kitchen.

At last, I also managed to sample the new vegan pizza at Pizza Express. The cheapskates have merely left off the cheese rather than source those so hard to get and so expensive (sic) vegan cheeses (despite lots of advice from the vegan community on the best ones and how easy they are to source). To be fair, it is rather tasty - spicy too - and you get a choice of a crispy or thick base.
