Oink, oink!
After a short break (college keeps me busy), I return with something really cool. No, it doesn't mean that I stopped being modest. This time the design is not mine and I can give it some compliments too. Vegan Pig Tote was made to order for Linda. She is a volunteer in Piedmont Farm Animal Refuge. Commissions are always exciting because you never know what person who ordered will think about the way you interpreted their description of the product. I tried to make it exactly like Linda described it to me and I hope she will love her new bag.
This is also a good moment to point out the fact that many fabrics, especially tartan, are not vegan. Traditional Scottish tartan fabric is unfortunately made of 100% wool. I found this tartan in Remnant Kings and it is great that they have also good choice of colours of this fabric. The only thing is that this fabric is quite light-weight and wouldn't be suitable for a coat, men's kilt etc (still, it is prefect for dresses, skirts and summer jackets). If anyone would find something similar but thicker, more chunky and without wool, I would be grateful for letting me know.
So there it is!
Vegan Pig Tote Bag
Tote bag made from tartan fabric (polyester & viscose). Decorated with a pink pig made from eco felt.
Staying in a 'Pink Mood' I would like to show you earrings made from pink PRECIOSA Twin™ and silver glass beads. These two-hole Czech beads provide many design possibilities. My creation is quite simple, but, as you can see, it is still effective and eye-catching.
Frozen Love
I even think that these earrings would make a nice matching set with one of my eco felt collars. Stay beautiful, colourful and loved this winter :D
Nice fabric and cute pig = recipe for lovely vegan bag :)
